This is guide tells you how to install or reinstall the client.
If you want to reinstall the client, make sure that the folder you want to install in is empty or just create a new one.


DOWNLOADS

Download the client from one of these Mirrors its all the same setup file.
This is only the clean ES-V4.5 client ESClientV4.5.exe (604.09 MB).
Mirrors:

• Megaupload: ES Client V4.5.exe
• ES-WebServer: ES WEB SERVER (CAPPED AT 500 KBS) which means won't let you download with more than 500 KByte/s
  

INSTALLATION

Important information:
Some Virus-Scanners detect one file (engine.exe) as a virus. We promise there is no Virus in our client. Thats why you have to diable your Antivirus while the installation.
At the moment i knew about the fallowing Antivirus-Scanners which detect it as virus (Source: VirusTotal). So these ones need to be disabled while installation!

• AVG
• McAfee+Artemis
• nProtect
• Panda
• Rising
• Symantec

Now we have to install the ESClientV4.5.exe to an empty folder on your Hard Drive (if you're using vista / windows 7 - right click on it and "Run as administrator").
This client v4.5 includes every patch/update.
Your files should be updated to the release of 16th March 2010.


EXECUTING

Now go to your brand new ES V4.5-folder in which you installed the downloaded file and use the kalonline.exe (it's working for me without special admin rights, but to make sure you tried everything you should try to run it as admin like before)
Use only the kalonine.exe or the new Shortcut on your Desktop called "ES V4.5 Main Updater".


HINTS

• To make sure you'll always start the game with the correct .exe you should use the new shortcut on your Desktop called: ES V4.5 Main Updater
• To play the Game in Full-Screen-Mode: (the game has to be closed)
  1. move to your new ES V4.5-folder
  2. search the system.ini file
  3. rightclick on it and choose "Edit"
  4. search the line MODE_WINDOW = 1
  5. change it to MODE_WINDOW = 0
  6. save the file and close the editor
